Greenpoint Technologies Readies VVIP 747‐8 for Flight Testing

Greenpoint Technologies, a premier VIP completions center for Boeing Business Jets (BBJ), starts certification flight testing this week on the VVIP 747‐8 as the National Business Aviation Association kicks off their largest exhibit and conference in Orlando, Florida.

This is a monumental step for the Boeing VIP 747‐8 program. After deliveries began in 2010, this will be the first one to take flight after full interior completion. Greenpoint’s aircraft was the fifth VIP 747‐8 to deliver from The Boeing Company in 2011.

“It’s incredible to see her fly again, after being cooped up in the hangar for so long. Nothing is better than to design, engineer, and install an interior then fly it for final testing. We are days from delivery after a complex 36 month completion. It will be a joyous occasion for all of us but most of all our client, who is eager and ready to put this airplane to use,” affirms Greenpoint Chairman Jon Buccola.
