Greenpoint and Boeing Team on 747-8 Aeroloft VIP Modification

Greenpoint Technologies selects The Boeing Company’s Global Transport & Executive Systems (GTES) facility in Wichita, KS to install the new 747-8 Aeroloft™.

“Partnering with GTES on the Aeroloft™ installation is an ideal solution. Our working relationship spans over ten (10) years supporting executive head-of-state interior modifications. This combined expertise benefits our customers by providing a beautiful, reliable product,” affirms Scott Goodey, Greenpoint President. The Aeroloft™, now in production phase, is accessed by a spiral staircase and provides eight (8) private sleeping berths located between doors four and five above the main deck. The Aeroloft™ provides a VIP sanctuary for individual passengers to escape the noise and activity of the main deck for meaningful rest during travel.

Selecting GTES as the modification facility shows Greenpoint’s ongoing commitment to working closely with The Boeing Company. “We are very excited to be a part of the team to provide this capability for the new 747-8,” states Steve Wade, Director of Boeing Global Transport & Executive Systems. “GTES has a long history of providing modification support to Boeing’s commercial platforms including 747 VIP modifications, and we hope this is the first of many
opportunities to support Greenpoint.”

GTES is a Boeing commercial derivative business headquartered in Wichita, KS having domestic operations in Oklahoma City and the Puget Sound area.
