Greenpoint Technologies Obtains a Patent for the Aeroloft®

Greenpoint Technologies, a Zodiac Aerospace Company, obtains a patent for their Aeroloft® product.

The Aeroloft® features a customized stairway leading to eight private sleeping berths and optional changing room with closet, located above the main deck between doors 4 and 5 of 747‐8 VIP aircraft. This solution provides passengers a comfortable rest area away from the main deck during flight.

Greenpoint has sold five Aeroloft® products to date, with four shipsets delivered thus far. The Aeroloft® is built in‐house at Greenpoint’s structures manufacturing facility in Marysville, WA. “This is a milestone achievement for Greenpoint, following nearly 10 years of development, production, installations and testing. The Aeroloft® truly is an efficient use of space on any 747‐8 aircraft. It is an excellent example of Greenpoint’s collaboration with an OEM to design an innovative solution for our joint clientele,” explains Greenpoint Executive Vice President Bret Neely.
